Oxford House College
Since 1974, Oxford House College has successfully provided high quality English language courses. Our schools centrally located in London, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon offer excellent value with the highest standards of teaching, welfare and social activities. In a friendly and truly international environment, students benefit from first class facilities and a wide choice and flexibility of course options.
Accommodation organised by the college is available in carefully selected Homestay, hostel or summer university residences within easy reach of the schools.
Academic strengths
Our teachers have an excellent reputation. All are professionally qualified with many years of teaching experience. As a specialist teacher training centre we ensure that all the best techniques are used by our teachers to maximise progress and achievement. They use a variety of dynamic teaching methods and materials, making their classes fun and memorable. The quality of teaching is reflected by rapid student progression and the high pass rates of students taking exams.
Students benefit from flexibility and choice. Most courses start every Monday and can be studied full-time, part-time or intensively. Courses can be adapted or combined to suit individual needs including One-to-One tuition.
English courses include: General English; Intensive English; Conversation & Pronunciation; IELTS for university entrance; Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE and CPE); English plus Work Experience; English for Business Success; Writing Skills; English 'Out & About' (with excursions); English plus Golf and Overseas Teachers of English courses (EU Comenius funding available).
The Foundation Degree course offers the ideal English language and academic preparation for students to gain direct access onto an undergraduate degree course. English can also be combined with Diplomas leading to degrees in Business Studies, Hotel Management, Travel & Tourism and Computing as well as MBAs.
Students can practice their language and job skills in real British working environments. Work placements are available in Administration, Catering, Hospitality, Fashion, Marketing, Tourism and more.
For English courses Oxford House College is accredited by the British Council, a member of English UK, a member of EAQUALS (London only) and a recognised centre for Cambridge ESOL examinations.
Facilities
The College is equipped with bright classrooms and the latest computing technologies. Modern library and study centres feature audio and video facilities, books, magazines, journals and other specialist learning materials to help students progress. The lively coffee bar in London and common rooms in Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon are popular meeting places for refreshments and relaxation.

The main school is centrally located in London’s exciting and vibrant West End - situated in Oxford Street close to shops, lively restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues. London’s historic and tourist attractions are all within easy reach.
In the beautiful city of Oxford students can experience the history of the world famous Oxford University along with all the youthful energy and variety of entertainment choices this university city has.
In Stratford-upon-Avon, the tranquil birthplace of Shakespeare, students can relax in the garden and enjoy badminton, table tennis and summer barbeques.
